Install and set up the PackCam Windows App — the Packstation for ShipBridge users
Last updated: March 12, 2026
The PackCam Windows App is the Packstation for users who process orders through ShipBridge on a Windows desktop. It detects order events via ShipBridge’s Advanced Logging and tells the PackCam device when to start and stop recording.
Prerequisite: Enable Advanced Logging in ShipBridge before proceeding. See ShipBridge Integration.
Requirements
- Windows PC at the packing station.
- ShipBridge version 6.1.4.5 or above — older versions are not compatible.
- ShipBridge must be opened as Administrator.
- Advanced Logging enabled in ShipBridge.
Installation
- Download the PackCam Windows App installer from your admin or the PackCam portal.
- Run the installer on the packing computer.
- Open the PackCam Windows App.
Setup — Binding to a Device
- Open the PackCam Windows App.
- Enter the Serial Number of the PackCam device you want to bind.
- The app will generate a 2-digit binding code — note it down.
- Go to Admin Panel → Orders → Devices section (top of page).
- Find the corresponding device card — 3 numbered binding codes will have appeared on it.
- Select the code that matches the 2-digit code shown in the Windows App.
The Windows App is now bound to the device. For the full binding overview see Binding a Packstation.
Day-to-Day Use
- Process orders in ShipBridge as you normally would.
- The PackCam Windows App detects order events via ShipBridge’s Advanced Logging.
- Recording starts automatically when you begin processing an order.
- Recording stops automatically when the order is shipped.
- SKU/barcode scans are captured and timestamped on the video.
Runs in the background: You can minimize the Windows App to the system tray — it keeps working in the background. You do not need to keep the window open.
