Admin Panel Guide

Complete guide to the PackCam Admin Panel — login, devices, employees, orders, statistics, and sharing

Logging In

URL: app.packcam.ai/login (opens in new tab)

  1. Enter your Team Name (saved automatically for future logins).
  2. Enter your Email and Password.
  3. Click Log In.

Only Admin accounts can log in to the admin panel. Employee accounts are only used on the devices and for QR code login.

First time? Register at app.packcam.ai/register (opens in new tab):

  • Enter a Team Name (your company or warehouse name).
  • Enter your Email and Password.
  • Click Register — you will be taken to the login page.

Claiming a Device

Claiming links a physical PackCam device to your admin account so you can manage it, view its videos, and bind a packstation to it.

Where: Admin Panel → OrdersDevices section (top of page) → + Add Manually button

  1. Power on your PackCam device and wait for it to display its Serial Number (e.g., PC-1A2B3C).
  2. In the Admin Panel go to Orders.
  3. At the top of the page find the Devices section.
  4. Click the + Add Manually button.
  5. Type in the Serial Number exactly as shown on the device screen.
  6. Click Claim.

The device will now appear in the Devices section. Click the edit icon to give it a custom name (e.g., “Station 1”, “Dock A”).

Discover devices: Click the Discover devices button — nearby unclaimed devices will appear automatically and can be claimed with one click.


Adding Employees

Employees are the packers who work at packing stations. Each employee gets a unique QR code they scan at the device to log in.

Where: Admin Panel → EmployeesAdd Employee button

  1. Navigate to the Employees page from the left sidebar.
  2. Click Add Employee.
  3. Enter the employee’s Email and a Password.
  4. Click Save.

The employee will appear in the employees list. Employees cannot log in to the admin panel — they use QR codes on the device.

Roles:

  • Admin — full access to the admin panel.
  • Employee (Packer) — can only log in on devices; no admin panel access.

Generating Login QR Codes

QR codes allow employees to log in to PackCam devices by scanning instead of typing credentials.

Where: Admin Panel → QR Codes button in the sidebar

A modal opens with two tabs:

Employee QR Codes

  1. Click the QR Codes button in the sidebar.
  2. Select the Employees tab.
  3. Find the employee you want.
  4. Click Download to save their QR code as a PNG image.
  5. Print it or display it so the employee can scan it at the device.

Each QR code contains the employee’s user ID and email — it acts as their login credential on the device.

Device / Station QR Codes

  1. Click QR CodesDevices tab.
  2. Each claimed device has its own QR code (contains the device’s serial number and name).
  3. Click Download for a single device, or Download All to get a ZIP file with all device QR codes.

Managing Devices

Where: Admin Panel → OrdersDevices section (top of page)

Each device card in the Devices section shows its online/offline status and lets you perform actions:

Viewing Orders & Videos

Where: Admin Panel → Orders (home page)

The Orders page shows every packing session recorded by your devices.

Features:

  • Search by Order ID (real-time filtering).
  • Filter by device using the device dropdown.
  • Filter by date range with presets: Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Custom range, etc.
  • Expand a row to see all SKUs scanned in that order with quantities.
  • View video — click the thumbnail or play button to open the video player.
  • SKU Timeline — the video player shows colored markers on the progress bar at every moment a SKU was scanned. Click a marker or a SKU chip below the player to jump to that exact moment.
  • Quick Details — opens a side panel with full order information and packed items.

Statistics Dashboard

Where: Admin Panel → Statistics

Tracks performance across all devices and employees.

Metrics available:

  • Total orders packed
  • Average packing time per order
  • Orders per hour
  • Employee efficiency percentage
  • Performance trends over time

Views:

  • Cards View — individual stats card per device.
  • Comparison View — side-by-side chart comparing multiple devices.
  • Employees Section — summary of all employees’ performance.

Filters:

  • Date range: Last 24 Hours, Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, All Time, Custom.
  • Device multi-select: filter stats to specific devices only.

Individual employee stats: Click any employee’s email on the Employees page to see their individual performance page, including assigned devices and personal trend charts.


Sharing Videos

PackCam lets you generate a shareable link for any packing video so you can send it to customers or colleagues — no login required to view the shared link.

How to share:

  1. Go to Admin Panel → Orders.
  2. Scroll down to find the order.
  3. Click Details to open the order side panel.
  4. Click the Share button.
  5. Choose access level:
    • Anyone with the link — anyone who has the URL can view it.
    • Restricted — specific emails — only listed email addresses can view it.
  6. Copy the generated link and share it.

Shared video pages display the full video player with SKU timeline markers and the order details sidebar — the recipient does not need a PackCam account.
