Recording Videos
Learn how to record, view, and manage pack station videos with PackCam

PackCam automatically records video at your pack stations, linking each recording to the corresponding order. This guide explains how recording works and how to manage your footage.
How recording works
Once your PackCam device is connected and assigned to a pack station, it automatically begins recording when packing activity is detected. Each video is tagged with:
- Order number
- Employee ID
- Timestamp
- Pack station identifier
Viewing recordings
You can view recordings in several ways:
Admin Panel
- Go to the Admin Panel
- Navigate to Recordings
- Search by order number, employee, date, or pack station
- Click on any recording to play it
Chrome Extension
Use the Chrome Extension to quickly look up recordings by order number directly from your WMS or browser.
Storage and retention
- Recordings are securely stored in the cloud
- Default retention period depends on your plan
- You can adjust retention settings in the Admin Panel under Settings > Storage
Tips
- Ensure adequate lighting at pack stations for clear footage
- Position the camera to capture the full packing area
- Regularly check device status in the Admin Panel to ensure uninterrupted recording
